I have tossed and turned over this issue. My EBAY sales site says "I don't insure, it is usually a waste of time, you have to ask me for it."

Well, I am coming to think that I am going to self insure every item I list without charge to the buyer.

If my shipping costs cover my expenses and then some, which they usually do, I am going to self insure. The only "catch" will be a 30 day waiting period and the buyer must sign a document I send them, that he/she has not received the item and that he/she will pay up, if it ever shows up. ANYBODYS THOUGHTS! Wife seems to think I will get ripped off!
