If you were to reproduce images of a chip from a current casino I would say that you are more likely violating their trademark and not their copyright because casino chips aren't copyrighted but if the chip has the casino's logo or name on it then that would be a violation of their trademark rights. As far as casinos which are long gone you still may end up violating a trademark because if for example you were create a chip with the Desert Inn name and logo on it, you would be violating trademark rights because even though the casino is long gone the trademark is still in effect and you probably would have to deal with the wrath of Stephen Wynn.
