Copyright question

I've been using Cafepress.com to put some designs on T-shirt, mugs, mousepads, etc. which can be purchased through their website.

If I scan images of chips issued by casinos that are still in operation, and then sell a T-shirt with those images on it, am I violating copyright law? Anybody have any experience with casinos and use of their artwork on products offered for sale?

What about scanning images of classic chips from casinos that bit the dust long ago?
