"Shall I name CC & GTCC as an insured party on my personal auto insurance policy ... so that if/when Archie Black is sued as a result of some unforseen accident..., CC & GTCC is also named in any potential lawsuit?"
Good question Archie, and I bet you didn't think so when you posed it.
My business insurance policy includes coverage for anything that happens using an automobile.
If I leave my brick and mortar store to go to the post office to mail an item to a customer, if I go to a local autoparts supplier to buy a dome light bulb to replace one used as a fuse in a customer's speaker, if I drive to the grocery store to buy paper towels for the biz, and get into a car accident I can be sued as a business for what happened because it happened while I was on the road doing something related to the biz.
You do want to insure yourself for all activities that involve you driving someplace. Every chip run needs extra insurance because you sell chips as a business. If you get into an accident driving to AC for a new release, your reason for being on the road is another reason for the trial lawyers to come after you, and I'm not writing this note to be flipant. That's how it works.
...wondering if the CC & GTCC has insurance on all of the people involved in putting together any sanctioned event regards,
Bob
