Don't sign on to others websites under an assumed name of a dead person to do it. eBay wasn't the only place.

This really shouldn't become some kind of controversy as we should want the whole world to see the history of gaming for the sake of the hobby in general. That way we get a bigger audience interested in the hobby which, if the CCA is generating enough interest and fun in the hobby will grow and benefit from!

To place things behind paywalls in the name of raising money for the organization doesn't seem like a great idea if your trying to proliferate the interest in the cause. If folks really care about what you are providing them then they will donate to your cause, money, items for your auctions etc. But when you start directly selling access you may be giving a bad look.

If our club is providing great resources and experiences, membership (and donations) will grow naturally. I believe the new board and other volunteers are making changes that previous admins were simply afraid to make due to "old guard" blow back regarding change. Maybe it's not too late after all. This will show in how the club provides those experiences and I will always be willing to help. I charge for nothing for PCDC and have many members who choose to donate to the development of the site in many areas and in many ways to promote the hobby.

When an organization is stagnant and resists change membership declines, simple fact and we have been experiencing that for years now. You have to develop with the times and have a handle on the entire hobby not just focus on what you have and how to keep it. You have to move with the hobby and know who's in it and what they like. I was shocked at how little folks I talked to at the convention reallly knew about set collecting, in fact there were many who barely or didn't at all know it was even a thing! Including long time members and even past leaders of the CCA Why is that?? Its the most recent development in the hobby and has over 3 or 4000 members who, like singles, dont understand the basic knowlege of singles collecting or have their own ideas about it. We welcome anyone.

All we did was develop and continue to develop a more modern and in most cases better "mousetrap", and how does the old saying go?
