If I was asked by a ChipGuide admin to allow the use of my image I would 100% of said yes.

I was not even asked. This leads me to believe that stealing chip images was approved by the ChipGuide owner. The same owner who is outraged that others use the ChipGuides images without his approval, but has no issues stealing others images without asking.

Is this practice of the ChipGuide stealing images still going on today? I don’t know the answer to that but they certainly did a few years ago.

BTW I am not saying if it right or wrong to use images from
another website without approval from the owner.

Doing some dimestore AI research, it appears to be illegal. Whether it’s for nonprofit makes no difference whatsoever, though the laws do tend to be a bit vague..
