...or why not even add this to the mix?

My point is that without a city name, department (France) or a group/operator/or tourest region (found on chips) regional monogram-name, we have no idea... and we should stand with whatever additional engraving(s) are found on the piece and not discount it. Maybe Carlos will find more stuff on the internet to clear things up... especially the small CI below each denomination which I believe is the key to all of this.

Casinos back then changed their gate, façade and door monograms often, especially on their documents, certificates and stationary... and they usually kept their city name where they felt it was essential/appropriate.
