USA How could anyone forget? USA

Like most other people, I remember exactly....

Ready to get to work at 6:00 AM, I drove to the end of my street. As I put my foot on the brake, the pedal whooshed almost to the floor and I turned around and very slowly went home. The car was towed to my mechanic and I went back to bed. A short while later, my daughter called on the phone to tell me the WTC had been hit by a plane and to turn on the television. At first, I thought she meant the WTC in Boston, which was right near my workplace back then. I was just in time to see the second plane crashing into the other tower.

The day President Kennedy was shot, I was in my teens and had turned on the radio. I remember wondering why they would have a story on Lincoln's assassination as I turned the channel and heard exactly the same thing on another station. It was then that I turned on the television and saw/heard the news coverage.
