I was in bed, in my house on Long Island. My then wife now ex-wife called to tell me something had happened. I turned on the TV and started watching, a few minutes later the second plane hit the towers. I was scheduled to work at Chaminade HS, that afternoon, and got the call that everything at the school had been cancelled. I spent the day in shock, watching the news coverage. On Semptember 12th I had to be in the office at 8am in Garden City. The drive into work with traffic usually took me close to an hour, on 9/12 it took 20 minutes, and I only saw 3 other cars on the road. I have several stories from that day I will never forget, and every September 11th I wear my FDNY memorial shirt. Never forget!!!!
