Re: Where were you when the world stopped turning?

I was on my honeymoon in Honolulu. my mother in law called us at 4:30 AM local time. we stayed glued to the TV for the morning like most people. we were supposed to fly to the big island that morning but about 6:30 Hawaiian Airlines called us to cancel. it was kind of surreal on the island because we were so far away and in paradise yet such tradgedy was happening on the east coast. we ended up renting a car and driving around Oahu. we had dinner with a couple who were on Oahu for the day from one of the other islands. they only brought stuff for the day. they, like many other day or overnight trippers were stranded.

When the challenger blew up I was walking from my PE class to typing class (Yes, I took typing on a real typewriter in high school!)
