Re: Where were you when the world stopped turning?

Yes, I remember exactly where I was, I was sitting in my recliner chair waiting to go to the hospital with complications from a heart surgery. Like everyone else that day, I sat in awe as the events unfolded.
It was a day that America would come together as one in the aftermath. People felt sympathy, anger, rage, and helplessness all at the same time. It would not be long before we were at war with these people, people who we could not mention because it might offend them.

Yes, America and the world changed that day. As we fight these ruthless people, murder charges await our soldiers if an innocent victim is harmed in our quest, yet the enemy know no bounds in killing innocent women and children.

Many resent the encroachment on their personal rights by the implementing of policies designed for their safety. Sadly, many of these policies are often knee-jerk reactions that are ineffective and used with total disregard for logic and common sense.

The fact remains that 9-11 happened and is a sobering awakening to what the world is today. My parents felt so moved that they began the FIRST memorial in the country to the victims of 9-11. I am very proud of their efforts… many of you from the Chipboard contributed.
