'Elected' officers

I just received my mag yesterday and the ballot has me wondering about our election process. How can we have 'elected' officers that no one in the general membership has voted for? Just because they are running unopposed does not mean we should not see them on the ballot. I think there should be an opportunity to vote or not vote for all candidates. This would mean a spot on the ballot for all and a placee for a write in for all offices up for election for that year.

Am I alone in my feelings on this or are there others that feel this way? Let me know your views on this as I find it very odd.
