Sorry, I guess I didn't definitively end the story. The scan in my post is of the actual chip in my possession. It arrived within 2 weeks safe and sound. The seller even wrapped the chip in additional bubble wrap before putting it into the bubble wrap mailer.

There are a couple of small chips around the edge, but the hot-stamp is very strong, and the cross-hatching looks almost new. I was extremely happy, and rec'd positive feedback from the seller, so I assume they were pleased as well.
