I disagree with all the posts here since I don't subscribe to this "we must protect every ignorant buyer" mentality.
If you collected antique furniture, paintings, cars, or just about anything else, it would be your (dare I say it?) responsibility as a collector to be able to determine an original from a fake or reproduction. In fact, part of the fun of collecting is acquiring this "expertise".
If someone is "duped" into paying $100 for a fake or fantansay chip on ebay, I don't really care. They just learned something and probably won't do it again .
As long as a collector could easily identify your chips as reproduction, I have absolutely no problem with your idea.
Just wanted to let you know that not everyone shares the views that have been presented to you thus far.
