Re: Coinless Slots
In Response To: Re: Coinless Slots ()

I predict the end of Silver Strikes very soon, too. As casinos are looking for ways to cut-back on their expenditures; Silver Strikes could be doomed. Until recently, I didn't even know what they were. I always saw on each floor 1 or 2 machines with shiny coins rotating around but I never ever saw anybody playing those machines. I thought you had to risk a similar coin to win a couple of those, so I never played. I'm still unsure how to play for Silver Strikes. As soon as casinos realize that an idle slot machine with few players is a money-loser, they might end Silver Strikes. They'll end up being sold at the gift shops. I'm curious what the casinos are doing with all their left-over tokens and what about orders already placed ? I even saw a manufacturer producing slots tokens that have non-peelable stickers to ressemble chips. What about those? I just learned about the coinless casinos and I think it's the worst idea I ever heard. Casinos already make huge profits, how much do they need? Let's just feed $100 bills into machines and don't even bother to play!
