It is unfortunate that coins for the most part will be gone.
On the same token [not a pun] Many of the casinos will retain coins in the hoppers should the ticket system fail.

Personally I see the move being one of economics.

First the casino will not have to tie up 100's of thousands of dollars in coin

Second they get to eliminate several jobs. Those people that haul around the coins, wrap them count them, some slot techs, etc.

On the more positive side there will be less instances of people trying to take off with your bucket of coins, no little old ladies carrying buckets that are heavier than they are, No coin jams, no waiting for hopper fills, no waiting for payouts etc.

From my observation the vast majority of people in A/C are welcoming the change with open arms
