My first computer was an IBM PCjr. It was the cutting edge technology of the time, and was supposed to take the market by storm. It has 256K of memory, came with a5 1/2 floppy drive, a hard cartridge drive (different than a cassette) a joystick, and a 9 pin printer. I distinclty recall spending a paltry $286 U.S. to upgrade the capacity to 640K(I think, memory is foggy). Without the memory upgrade, the purchase price was in the neighborhood of a paltry $3000. I believe the year was 1985 or 1986 as well
