calculator machines. The most fun was wiring an o87 collator that would merge one deck of cards into another.

Say you had the shipping information for the client as a master file, then you would collate all his detail order lines behind them. Run the stack through the computer and print his invoice.

Then go to the O82 sorter and pull the master cards out to be recollated back into the master file.... OH well, u get the idea.

One of my bosses, had once worked with Herman Hollerith (SP) the founder of the punched cards for the Census bureau

and that is my 2 bits worth...
