1986 Computer Ad

I came across an ad today in a 1986 copy of of Popular Science. Tandy was advertising their Tandy 3000. This little beauty ran at 8 megahertz. The ad mentions that that is 70% faster than most PC's!!! Not only did it run MS-DOS, it would run XENIX as well. Wow! The monitor wasn't included in the $2,599 price and neither was MS-DOS, but hey, for $1,000 more, you could get it with a 20mb hard drive, read that correctly, that is mb not gb.

Damn, we've come a long way!
