Re: FM Proof Tokens (Don and John)

I have never heard of mint-issued collector sets of Nevada gaming tokens after 1969, Ron. I've been collecting FM Tokens since the 70's. Where did you see these mentioned?

There are what appear to be individual proof or proof-like tokens from the later years. I've never heard the story of why they were struck or in what quantities but assumed they were early strikes for the casinos to use as gifts or promotional items.

Worth mentioning the two collector sets of FM high-denomination foreign tokens that were issued in the early 70's. Each of these did have one token from a US casino: Caesars Palace in the green-set and Desert Inn in the red-set. These were $25 silver tokens.
