This is not a fair question. -> "Why do you feel that it is okay to buy Japanese televisions and not Japanese cars?"

I could be wrong, but I thnk the last American company to actually manufacture televisions in America was Advent with their three-beam projection models. ...and they went broke in the late 70's. Sure, you can buy stuff with an "Advent" brade name on it today, but Jensen bought the marketing rights to the name in the 80's, and there's no telling where the stuff is made.

As to cars, Ford, GM and Chrysler didn't make a car anything close to my Impulse when I bought it, and they still don't! I have a Japanese built sports car with a British designed racing suspension. The car is flat out fun to drive!

If Ford, GM or Chrysler built a car like the Subaru WRX, I'd take a long hard look at buying an American made car for the first time in years. Until the big three get back into the business of making automobiles that people want (they do have the truck market figured out, but Toyota is catching up) loyal patriotic Americans will continue to buy foreign cars.

One of the things that makes America the greatest country on the planet is, we can spend our money on things that we want. We aren't required to buy only products manufactured here. ...that is also known as freedom.
