So much for the only high end chips theory. They'll be able to create instant high end chips. Now let's take this a bit further. Suppose 5% of the issue is graded a 10. Will these cards go for a few $ more. I think not...my guess is 500% more, or even higher. Casinos that will be targeted are the ones that are the most highly collected...We all know who they are. Topps is the biggest name in the business. This is another perfect fit to get collectors money. Don't collect this type of material you say...OK. If you are a dealer they just took more money out of your pocket that is usually spent with you. This kind of thing effects the entire hobby. People have limited money to spend...this is what made sports card collecting what it is today. Many of the old major dealers are gone...replaced by speculators who just turn a profit. The market is saturated with product competing for limited collector dollars. Even the older material has gone down in price...if it is not a very high grade. It's not about choice, It's about exploitation.
