LE's are produced for promotion purposes... to get players in, to add interest during the play, to show that they are "progressive". They are not made to improve the bottom line of the corporation.

If this is true than the casinos are making a huge mistake in putting out small releases and cooperating with dealers who come in at the time of the release and buy up most or all of the release. If they are trying to bring people in, they would be better served by having as many of the chips available for as long as possible and not by selling quantities out of the cage.
