This has been mentioned before on the bb, but I don't think the "profit" from sales of LE chips means a thing to most casinos. Proceeds from the sale of 2000 chips is $10,000... that's one bet on the high roller table.

They are playing for bigger stakes than we collectors are.

LE's are produced for promotion purposes... to get players in, to add interest during the play, to show that they are "progressive". They are not made to improve the bottom line of the corporation.
