I went with a Canon N650 series. I like that it is a USB that draws the power off the bus (rather than an extra power adapter). So it is easy and convenient. The downside is a few of the colors get faded, the upside is that I can take it with me.

I know I can play around with the settings on the RGB panel or in the software, but haven't learned all yet. I have a copy of Photoshop 6, but still prefer Microsoft Photodraw (of course Microsoft doesn't prefer it because they have discontinued it).
