Archie,
I have tried hard to maintain decorum in this discussion, and while I know that I may sometimes tend to the sarcastic, I believe that I have always responded to you and others with respect. If someone here feels that any of my posts have been disrespectful, for that I apologize.
I am aware of who you are and what you have done for this hobby. And there is no question that you have forgotten more about chips than I have ever known. And if this was a discussion about chips, I would quickly yield to your superior knowledge. And I always read your posts with the hope of learning from your experiences.
That being said, I can not help but wonder why you feel it is appropriate to repeatedly mischaracterize my position. You have repeatedly stated that I have taken a pro-slabbing position, when it is clear that my position is that the Club should discourage slabbing without actually imposing a ban (BTW At the present time Greg's poll shows 47% of the votes cast have been in agreement with that position).
Further more the insistence on talking down to me in several of your posts is simply not appreciated. Despite your suggestion that I don't understand the issues, I think I have demonstrated an understanding of the issues. I am not so close-minded as to believe that every person who disagrees with me doesn't understand the issues.
I think you are capable of demonstrating your disagreement with me without disrespecting me, and I expect that in the future you will endeavor to do so.
