Very simple, Peter. Because they will be billing themselves as grading experts when in reality they know no more than most poople about the condition of a chip. It is not you, or Archie or most of the people on this Board I am concerned about. It is the NEWCOMER to the hobby who's first contact is a slabbing service who he thinks is the last word on the condition of a chip. Then he takes that slabbed chip home after paying to have it graded & decides he wants to touch it, see what it feels like in his hand. Not it is out of the slab. No problem he thinks, they told me it is "MS65" or some such nonsense. Then when that collector tries to sell the chip himself he is told the chip is not close to being "MS65" & is worth a fraction of what he paid for it. Is it sinking in yet Peter? Andy - Las Vegas
