Using someone else's scans for commercial purposes without out asking is a sure fire way to get flamed on this board. Nobody appreciates that. Using scans for non-comercial purposes is a little less annoying, but asking first is always preferred. Some people WILL take offense. And "commercial purposes" isn't always just selling chips. Do you have sponsors for your site? Are these images attracting more visitors, to help keep your sponsors happy and paying? Your question was "ethics" not "legal." Ethics always takes the high road. If you had to ask the question, you already knew the answer.

Now, is it ethical to take a picture of a pretty girl and make her look like a hussie? Oh wait, we're talking about Katie here. Never mind!
