In response to your questions

First - I posted the question on this Board to get feedback, opinions, and thoughts. Nothing more. If there was overwhelming response about increasing the Board, I would consider writing a revision to our current constitution, however I would make all the proper notifications before doing so.

Secondly - My personal experience obviously is different than your, I was a member of a 16 member nonprofit board for 10 years, and although there were issues at times (as I'm sure there are with all organizations) we all worked together for the common good of the organization. I found the larger board to be beneficial, but that was my experience.
