No I dont think Im missing the point at all,again the reason Toyota has a "sparkling" record is in great part due to the fact that they hide thier defects instead of pointing them out.And that 12 million vehicle recall you speak of was mainly due to Firestone tires.I would hope that who ever was in office would like to get to the bottom of whats going on @ Toyota.The fact that a company has virtully no recalls and then all of a sudden has a multude of very dangerous recalls should cause a "witch hunt"Dont know about you,but I sure wouldnt want my family in a vehicle that accelarates uncontrollably,cant stop or cant steer(all 3 are Toyota recalls)
