If you were NOT pleased with him going thru you, then whay not tell him to contact the BOD, directly... but rather you still relayed his request.

What would have been wrong with saying: "Please contact the BOD concerning your request."?

You also mentioned that you left Mark hanging without even informing him of the results on the second go around; yet the BOD voted and you just left it there to hang in thin air... GIVE ME A BREAK....!!!
