Re: Feedback

We have been selling on eBay for 11+ years. In the beginning, we always left feedback for the buyer when the payment was received. We found that many buyers never reciprocated or in the very rare instance left a Neg without giving us a chance to resolve the situation.

In our opinion, the buyer's responsibility doesn't end with payment, but when they receive the item and leave a positive feedback. That let's us know that the transaction was successful and the buyer is happy. It also gives us a chance to resolve an issue before the buyer leaves feedback, which allows us to turn a possible unsatisfied buyer into a happy customer.

WE don't believe the feedback is a necessary tool to let the buyer know you received payment. We bulk email buyers for receipt of payment, shipping notifications, and follow up.

That has increased our feedback rate substantially.

Good luck to all those that sell on eBay.
