Wow,after reading all of these posts and receiving so many emails welcoming me to the board,I feel that I am ready to rant now just like many of you:>)
Here is my first rant:I get many chips from eBay under the name of "notabadguyafterall" and I get so annoyed with the postal and "handling" fees which sellers like to add on to their sales.
I know that chips can be sent to Canada for as little as .75 for two or three and I also know that there are costs involved, like envelopes, time etc.,but I want to know why some sellers like to charge $3.00 and up for postage with-and this is my favorite-an additional .75/$1.00 for each additional chip?I had one seller charge me $15.00 to send me 6 chips!! I thought that she might be sending them by some secret special ultra fast delivery method, but no....regular mail in a regular envelope and cost on the envelope was $1.70!!Was I annoyed?Oh yes!
Another charges $3.00 for the first one and $1 for each additional.I bought 8 chips and was charged $10 for postage and "handling" and once again, the total only came to $1.70.
Others have tried to charge $6.00 for 1 chip and one actually decided to give me a break and "only" charge me $4.00 for delivery for one chip(wow...what a great guy!)
Do these people not realize that,by charging these rates, that they are cutting their own throats down the rodd,as they are ripping off potential long term multi purchase customers?
I am wondering how you all feel about silly ass postal gauging by dealers/sellers?
Before I forget:I have been on eBay now for over 8 years as buyer and seller,so I know the costs involved for selling and buying to and from the US.
