Not completely sure but I seem to recall that The Stardust is a Boyd property and there is a plan to tear it down and rebuild it. Don't know what the timetable on that is though.

I have only been there once and have to say that it was pretty nice. Really good BBQ restaurant. Single Deck blackjack in a 60s themed party pit when we were there a couple years ago. We got free necklaces with tye dye colored peace signs. Bad payback on blackjacks but the dealer was pleasant and fun and it wasn't that busy. The play was entertaining enough and in the end we had a lot of fun. I actually played for about 2 hours and ended up turning my $50 into about $150. Our table was $5 a hand but I seem to recall that I had to play $10 a hand to be rated on my card. When we finished playing, we went up to one of the rooms with some friends and it was very nice. And had some nice views.

A good friend stays there every year when she goes to Vegas. She always gets a comped suite and everything. After dinner we got a comped limo to Fremont Street. Our friends Invited my GF and I to stay with them in their extra room. Had we not had a flight the next day and had to check out of The Orleans by Noon, it would have been very tempting.

Anybody know the specifics of any plans. Or if my info is incorrect? I know our friend would be interested in knowing any updates.

Sad to hear about Westward, Slots and Circus. Although I played at CC once and wasn't that impressed. Did like the carnival game area. Was a fun diversion from the gambling. Is Circus where they have the indoor roller coaster and all? Never saw that. Never saw half of the place though. I have wanted to go to Westward and Slots as I have heard of some of the good deals there. Never got a chance. Usually when out in Vegas, we stay at Orleans and rarely get to that end of the strip. Riv is also a sad possibility. I have been there a couple of times to play 20 for 40. Never won anything significant. Usually try and go to get the cards or coffee mugs and stuff though. Loss of Riv and Westward would be a big hole on the coupon runs.
