I think everyone knows that it took A LOT of work to put these guides together, and we all owe them our gratitude for the work and dedication that they have put forth on behalf of the hobby. I don't think anyone would suggest that the information be posted on the web for all to see and use for free. With that being said, what is gained by using print as the medium to deliver the information? A pay based web site would compensate the authors in the same fashion.

I'm not trying to add fuel to the fire. I believe the authors can and should do whatever the heck they want with the information they have gathered. I am just saying that for me personally, it would be much more convenient if the chip database were online (a service I would be more than happy to pay for).
