Our office, North Coast Optical in Madison Ohio, provides this service to potential lasik as well as all refractive surgery patients. We spend much time informing thes folks about the procedure from beginning to end. We are ifnormation givers. What are all the risks and potential complications...what are the benefits...exactly what is being done to your eye's and who is doing it.

I will never talk anyone into or out of this surgery. We simply are there to answer all questions people may have, as well as many they haven't thought to ask. We measure the patients expectations ( very important to screen out people who think they will never wear glasses again, and think there is some majic way to quarantee 20/20 vision or better).

We make sure that they are good canadates as far as not just expectations, but overall health, eye size, starting prescription etc.

Tiger Woods was a minus ( -11.00 ) that is very very bad vision. He had the lasik done at TLC and of course you can see the results in his golf game.

We do a patient history, schedule the procedure with a TLC Dr. ( Dr. Davis in our case ). The patient then has a topography ( mapping of the corneal surface) done to make sure that the cornea is thick enough to proceed. The surgery is done on Friday morning, then the patient returns to us on Saturday morning for the one day check up. We continue to do follow up exams at one week, one month, and every three months for the next year. We record our findings and continue to work with that patient during annual visits to our office.
