I can't comment on Lasik specifically but I did have RK surgery many years ago. I've bought a lot of things, but this was the best money I have ever spent in my life.

With that said, I would suggest that you do your homework and not rush your decision. I agree with Phillip though. Do your homework and don't go with the cheapest. Make sure the doctor that you do pick also has had lots of experience with doing the surgery. But make sure they are not busiest either. There is a doctor here in Kansas City that I visited that was doing the most operations by far. He couldn't wait to leave my room during the initial consult and didn't answer all my questions. I spent more time with their payment method/billing department than with the doctor. As a result, I scratched him off my list. One of my best friends had his surgery through him, had a little trouble and found him more worried about getting new patients instead of treating his issues.
