Uh oh... flip warning sad

A couple years I put this chip into a cardboard flip as shown. It didn't really fit well... but I did it anyway sad

I few days ago, I pulled it out and removed it from the cardboard flip and this is what I saw. (see scan below sad )
I know the chip wasn't chewed up like when I put it in... but it has literally disinegrated around the edges (both sides).

Just wanted to post this just in case someone else stuck chips in similar cardboard flips - you may want to check them or get them OUT... and QUICK!

This chip was in the flip approx. 2 years. sad
I DO want to stress that these may have been "cheap flips" (picked up somewhere over the years for low-end coins) and I can't recall where I got them (or WHY I used them sad ) but I'm glad I didn't use many!
