Jim, I really appreciate your help in looking up this valuable information. As for the 1959 date of the first H.C.E. mold, I have to disagree. I am using "The Records of the H.C. Edward Co." book by Mark Lighterman and Gene Trimble and "Harvey J. Fuller's Index of Nevada Gambling Establishments", Edited by Howard W. Herz.

I found several Die Tags for H.C.E. chips that were made for casinos that we know closed before 1959.

Khoury's El Rancho Rio 1949-1950
Nevada Biltmore 1944-1948 DOTS; 1948-1950 H.C.E.
Stateline Country Club, L.T. 1953-1956
Fortune Club, L.V. 1953-1958
Al Cooper's Beachcomber, chips made 1951, Never opened
Al Cooper's Polynesia 1951-1951

Jim, I hate to dispute you as you hold my upmost respect. Is it possible that these chips were made by someone other than Burt?
