Re: Chip trading etiquette question?

----I don't find very many people who want to trade five $1 chips for a $5 chip since the value of a $5 chip is $7-8 and the $1 chips are about $3 each----

Your right, John, most people won't do that, but then again I know one who has been doing that for 2 or 3 years and that's me. I have a standing agreement with an AC trader who gives me the new issued AC $5.00 chips for (5) $1.00 chips. Since I personally care less about the difference in values, and since it cost me absolutely nothing (except a slight increase in postage,) I don't mind doing that at all. And I don't feel as if I am being taken advantage of because I know exactly what the difference in values are.

I expect he probably sells them on ebay but that is not my concern as we are both satisfied with the trade.

And now since I am a signee on the "chips for face" group, http://www.poppel.com/subscribe.htm I could still get those same chips for face value from a number of good people but I just don't care to renege on a long standing relationship.
