I do not usually get involved in this type of discussion but this one really ticks me off. As has been stated in a couple other posts, most PACK members are active paid up members of CC>CC (International). As such, we have as much right to meeting space (if available) as any other club member. This is advertised as a trade session but who knows what will be discussed. Maybe this will lead to a chapter. Pat tried to start a chapter but could not get anyone interested in being officers or organizers. Now we have a better idea of how many are interested in this part of the hobby. A chance to get many together. Will that lead to a chapter? Who knows.
This is not costing the club any additional money so who is it hurting? Has the PACK meeting deprived others of meeting space? Not that I have heard. I look at this as another excellant service to club members provided by our convention committee on behalf of the CC>CC. It is not any different than providing a trade room for chips. The chip trade room is not a chapter specific event. The PACK trade room will be the same. I do not see us excluding any interested CC>CC club member.
I ask that you view this from the perspective of other CC>CC members getting together to enjoy a part of this great hobby and stop the bellyaching.
