... distinction here, David. Neither I, nor anyone else that I'm aware of, has advocated a complete ban on buying or selling slabbed chips. Anyone who wants to do so will still be able to, even if a club ban is imposed, anywhere OTHER than via a club venue.

To use your analogies, a club ban on slabbing would be no different than a particular restaurant choosing not to serve alcohol, a theater chain choosing not to show pornographic movies or a sporting goods store choosing not to sell guns. Anyone who wants those things can still get them elsewhere.

You ARE right that FREEDOM is involved. The freedom of a private organization to choose the terms on which others will benefit from its efforts and services. Freedom does NOT mean that everyone gets to do whatever they want whenever they want wherever they want. ----- jim o\-S
