I just got to this board after viewing the Club Message Board. I responded on the Club Board, agreeing with Neal's assertion that education is the best manner to deal with the slabbing issue. I see that this thread has moved through various stages.

Since I believe it would foolish to attempt to legislate a solution, I go along with those who want to educate and discuss the ramifications of slabbing. If slabbing is a good idea, collectors will accept it, if it not, then the idea will die.

I personnally think that we as collectors are the best qualified to judge condition for ourselves, not some service that probably has little experience.
