Re: collecting roullettes
In Response To: Re: collecting roullettes ()

Great....the prez of the National chapter is offering advice on how to steal not just one or two NCV chips, but is suggesting that walking with a 20 chip stack is justifiable as following in the footsteps of early collectors by preserving history. I've seen piles of BS before Archie, but your statements take the cake! The only reason someone would lift a 20 chip stack of roulettes is greed, and it is stealing. Preserving history my butt....

...when a chip has the chip's value printed on it, then, and only then, did you buy it. Roulettes are for rent, and the only face value that they have is the value you place on them at the table.

I expected better from you, and if you find my note to have a hostile tone, it is intended. I don't find NVC chips to be a gray area. If you take them, and they don't have on the chip what you paid for them, you are dealing with no value chips. You coulda bought into the game at 25 Cents a chip. You rented the color. Nothing more, nothing less. If you take it without the table's permission, you stole it, Period.
