How many annual awards does the club hand out every year?

How much do those awards cost?

Are they important to the recipients?

Here's my thinking...I've been honored to receive several awards over the years. All of them get displayed in my home, when I first get them. But...long term I'd rather display our collectibles than the awards.

We don't go to the convention, so all of them have been sent to me. Postage is expensive.

Possible alternative....print award certificates, in lieu of the expensive award plaques. Put the certificates in frames to be presented at the convention. Anyone who isn't attending...remove the certificate from the frame and mail just the certificate. The recipients can put them in frames, if they want to display them.

If that feels too "cheap", give club members a gift certificate for club merchandise, or something like that.

Any thoughts....?
