There's a company in No. Carolina that BUYS china (discontinued patterns that still have demand for them). I have used them to buy some discontinued single plates, etc. to replace broken or chipped pieces. They do buying too, though I haven't done any selling, personally. Link is:

We may be the exception though. Still using our fine china and daily wear patterns from 44 years ago when we were married. Both pattens discontinued some time ago for us.
