First off, it's standard for forums to ask a birthday, the reason is simply to write and say Happy Birthday as a courtesy. The databases alreaady know more about us and usually include wrong information as well.

I find it quite odd that this board reveals your personal email..... That's worse to get digitally hacked. Based on the amount of spam on the board I'm curious if anyone email has ever been hacked here??

Yes, just one more thing I had suggested years ago, that a modern forum has PM = Private Mail or some call it conversation or messaging. No one except the Admin knows your email, unless you wish to have it public so people can contact you directly. It's a personal choice.

Years back there were some people who may have collected email from this BB system. It appears that the holes have been plugged. So I'd say that currently anyone harvesting emails, isn't getting them from here. And since many people are suspicious and question statements like that, I used a throwaway email for probably 7 years here, and never got hounded or spammed on that address. If the Chip BB was the source, there would have been a definite telltale that the spam came from here. It hasn't and doesn't.

I am seriously doubtful that the email addresses from this BB and the accounts have ever been hacked and not for the last seven years at least.
