In 1838 the Crockfords started out as a private ~~

~~~ gambling club from what I'm reading and, I think there has got to be Mother-of-Pearls floating around out there that we don't know about... though, I would need some pretty strong documentation if such pieces didn't actually spell out the name and only had some other enhraved graphic. Problem is, there has never been much interest in gambling establishments in England as there has been and, still is, in Europe and other major gaming jurisdictions where MOP was on the game. So not too much searching going on there, I would think... Not talking about the thin Chinese stuff... but rather the French-type casino MOP.
