Bob, Thanks for the comments as well as the

comments from others,

In an effort to save time posting replies to everyone, I will just address this post.

I realize there are a lot of folks that don't care for the idea of a MOGH. I also know that there a LOT of people who also support the efforts and have done so throughout the years.

One of the reasons that the MOGH does have its own BOD is to not but the time burden on the CCA BOD members. Just like other committees, we handle our business and deal with day to day issues without having to involve the CCA board with some of the details.

Many years ago while I was still CCA President, one of our other BOD members brought forth a suggestion that the current President of the CCA will always have a board seat on the MOGH. That way the CCA BOD is always aware of any issues that come up with the thought that would help keep the MOGH in alignment with the clubs goals. It has been that way throughout my terms as well as with the current President (Who was actually a MOGH BOD member before becoming a CCA BOD member).

I realize that there are some concerns of a conflict of interest and for many issues where the CCA votes, the MOGH BOD members who are also CCA BOD members have recused themselves from a MOGH vote in order to not have that conflict.

Unfortunately we are in an organization of volunteers and there always seem to be more positions to fill than there are people willing to fill them. That issue leads to a problem where many volunteers are on several committees and are working in multiple positions within the club. I wish it weren't that way, but sometimes you just have to take whats given and roll with the punches.

I agree with the suggestion that more information on the MOGH needs to be regularly published so the CCA membership is aware of what is happening. At times we were a LOT closer to our goals than many people are aware of. There have been several occations over the past 10 years where potential opportunities became available. For one reason or another things didn't quite work out.

In fact just last February the MOGH had a 3 day retreat with a well respected Museum Director who had been responsible for opening numerous other museums. During this meeting we worked out a business plan, set new goals and handed out duties for members to follow up on. We had formed a Funding group and even had casino interested in letting us use space for our museum. Then the Pandemic hit and the economy fell apart which was another setback.

I am a believer in the MOGH and I think as well as others involved in Nevada Museums that this is a great opportunity for our club and our hobby. I am a firm believer that the #1 method of gaining membership and saving our hobby is thru awareness.
What the MOGH is trying to accomplish is that awareness of the hobby and to show people how interesting Gaming History and memorabilia collecting actually is. That can be done with a Museum and our exhibits in the meantime agining as much publicity as possible.

Did you know that in a lot of our exhibit locations we have flyers advertising the MOGH and the CCA? Can you imagine one day having a museum that after people enjoyed the displays they were asked to join the CCA? A museum may actually the the number one recruitment tool we have for membership.

So, in closing I will say to those that dont support the MOGH, that's fine, dont support the MOGH. But please dont disrespect those us us that do and want this for the benefit of the entire hobby we all love.

Thanks again and have a great night !!!!
