chinese chip story

I was told a story by the lady I have been getting my Chinese chips from. I cannot guarantee the authenticity of it, but it might shine some light on something, fill in some blanks or totally confuse the crap out of us. Her dates could be off, but i was told this info...

The picture below was taken in the late 50's/early 60's. ( i'm no car buff..what year are those cars?) it is the Hong King Lum Cafe and the S.P. Depot Market. The door to the far right ( w/ small awning)in front of the truck was were they had gaming. She says the Dong family ran the games and it was on the corner of 3rd and I streets downtown Sacramento ,Ca. Depending on which corner this place was...it is now either a parking garage or a Perko's(like Denny's).

*this is a picture I took of a picture with my cell phone...didn't turn out as clear *

The chips pictured were said to have been there. (except the C.W. Rice) she said the meaning was 10,000 treasure resource.
